Happy 2nd Anniversary!

We will be celebrating our 2nd Birthday June 19th from 10-4.
We love a good crazy party, last year was amazing!
So mark it on your calenders, for a parking lot full of prizes, sales, sales, face painting and pony rides-well maybe not pony rides ;)
And you know we will have fun tricks up our sleeves and great goodies from some other
great community businesses! All the nitty gritty will be announced soon...


We are now off to get ready for the Nanaimo Baby Fair this weekend, we are giving away 4 tickets if you are planning on attending this event the draw is Monday May 31.
We have weekend pass tickets for sale for the event $5 for adults and kids always free.
these weekend passes are cheaper then day passes at the door!

So we have some happy news to report! www.podlings.ca is LIVE!
It a bit of a work in progress at this point as we are working on inventory and some video and live chat functions...all the rest is working. Full e-commerce site ready for you! Please visit the site and sign up for our monthy newsletter, in addition to our blog posts the newsletter will announce sales special coupons and much more!

Our Studio in the back is getting busier! Thanks so much for your support and believing in this as much as we do.. We are so pleased to bring unique classes, events and support groups to the Valley.


So we have to announce our dear Jesse is leaving soon to ad to her family...her little peanut is due pretty soon so we are hiring for a part time position.

The selected person will be, reliable, available, have childcare and transportation. This employee will have to have the same passion we feel about families and community.Retail experience is helpful. We operate a cash register and we are upgrading to an integrated software program. Some computer experience will be helpful as well. This position can lead to benefits, raises and promotions for the right person.

Summer Consignment

Here we are in the midst accepting Summer Consignment. Here are some things we are
accepting and some things that are on our Wish Board.

Sandals, swim suits, short sleeved shirts, shorts, light pants only, sun suits, sun hats, light jackets, light zip up hoody's. And of course along with our usual toys, books, games and equipment.

Wish Board-these items have be requested by our customers and written on our Wishboard. We usually have a few people on waitlist for these items

Bumbo, Wood table and chairs, bed railing, joovy caboose, cozy coupe car, wee ride bike seat(for front of bike), toddler bed, bike trailer, trikes, run bike and the list goes on....

No appointment needed, always call ahead if you are bringing larger items so we can clear some space.

We are excited...

That nice sunny time of year, we have our hanging basket of flowers outside, new flowers in the garden beds at the center...Feels so alive in the sun. At the store we are getting in lots of new products and getting ready for some of our big events such as the Birth Bellies and Babies Fair, Saturday May 29th at the Filberg, our very own Jesse is a co-ordinator for this event :) Then we have the Nanaimo Baby Fair a huge event reaching families all over the island that's June 5th and 6th, come for live entertainment and great guest speakers and Vendors galore! We are 1 of 5 island retailers to sell weekend pass tickets, We also have 4 tickets to give away, stay tuned!

Birth Bellies and Babies Fair

Saturday May 29th, the Comox Valley Doula's are hosting a Fabulous event right here in the Valley! Come down to the Filberg Center between 10am-4pm for a day of all the fun!

We are very excited to be vending at this event, we love Fairs! Come see our booth there will be surprises galore! We are also offering a FREE cloth diaper workshop at the fair in the meeting room at 11am.

We are so proud of our staff Jesse Buchanan a local Doula for helping to co-ordinate this great event!

Eco-Friendly Dresses and more

Dolly N' Boo

We have been retailing these sweet dresses, handbags, headbands and belts for a year now...and Renice(Dolly N' Boo) still amazes me! This Momma is so creative! Every dress is unique.

There is alot "happening" with us right now.... And we couldn't be more thrilled..

Here are a few of the great things we have on the go..

Kristina, Jesse and Myself all have little girls in the Pantuso Dance Groove 2010 Recital happening at the Sid Williams this coming week, Musical Theatre, Dance and Tap are what we love. Next year we will recruit Helen and Jaak ;) It's not work related but we are all involved and its exciting!



May 29th from 10-4 is the 2nd Annual Birth Bellies and Babies Fair hosted by the Comox Valley Doula's.
